Hey there, Jason!

It's good to see you still around the board! I'm sorry to hear you'll be laid off this Spring especially after all that time you put in. I had a good job the past 4 years with a start-up company and the owners were fine with people having long hair. So, I eventually started growing my hair again. Last year the company decided to head in another direction (whatever that meant) and about 90% of us ultimately got let go and replaced. I was the first employee and the most skilled and knowledgeable and I still got the boot. It was a shock, but I got over it. There are other things to do to make a living. But, I did feel it necessary to cut my hair so that it wouldn't be an issue when I interviewed for new jobs. I understand about needing to take care of a family and all that, too, so sometimes we gotta do what we gotta do. Hair can grow back. I wish you the best with the job thing. When one door closes another opens.

I have to say, I dig the longer beard on you. And, of course, your hair is always killer. I hope all is well with you and your little family, brother.

Take care and see you around :)

: Hey Gman!

: Great to see you again! I remember your participation here well. That was quite a mane you were sporting in 2010 before you cut it. Your more recent photo from last summer shows that your hair has maintained its quality and no doubt has the potential to even exceed what you had before.

: I hear you about jobs. I'm going to be laid off in April after 25 years with one company. Hair has never been an issue but now all of a sudden it may be. I can understand how you felt the need to cut it to get jobs. I'm hopeful that I won't have to resort to that but with a family to feed, I'm going to have to do what it takes.

: I'm looking forward to seeing how your current hair journey plays out.

: Best,
: Jason
