Hi Mârk,
I met Anthony at his house. My pendant is unique, I shared it just for the photo, and Anthony doesn't wear jewels.
We talk about my house that I bought two years ago, and I'm still renovating. It takes time, and that's why I didn't quickly reply.
Anthony talk me about his sailing journeys and we had a meal.
We have common things like long hair of course, and we are both interested in boats.
When I was 9 I saw a short TV documentary about the Titanic, maybe 10 min length. And since this day, I don't explain why, but I really started being interested in this ship. At the beginning, I wanted to work in the merchant navy (work at the bridge), but after I saw TV a documentary about shipbuilding in Saint-Nazaire I was interested in building ships. I spend two years in Saint-Nazaire learning shipbuilding. Saint-Nazaire is known for its shipyard "Chantiers de l'Atlantique" which has build famous ocean liners like Normandie, France and Queen Mary 2. Now they build some of the biggest cruise ships in the world, but not the most beautiful.
I got my shipbuilding exam, but sadly I couldn't find a job because too young without experience. So I went into a computer programming school and found a job.
If you want to learn more about me, there is a short bio on my personal blog, https://www.jesus-forain.fr/author.html . This website is hosted at home on a crappy ADSL connection so it's slow (I live in the countryside), I expect to have optical fiber soon.
The existence of this website, the MLHH is also a cool thing. But like many websites it has lost most of its visitors, taken by all these social networks and mobile apps. I'm sad to see this community dying, but there is always some hope, I would never have met Anthony without this website, yes physical meetings are still happening. It would be nice to meet you, but there is the Atlantic Ocean between us! I also see MLHH members on these social networks, they post photos of their mane on dedicated long hair men groups. Some of these groups are very active with daily posts. The MLHH was the first long hair community I discovered, but on social networks there are plenty of long hair men groups, maybe inspired by the MLHH?
But the MLHH was the first website of this type created in the early days of Internet and I prefer a community website than a social network controlled by algorithms and that belongs to a big corporation held by some billionaires.
I have also created a website for long hair men, "http://lesgarschevelus.fr" for French-speaking people in 2020, sadly I got very few visitors despite numerous "man buns" and ponytails I can see on the streets but, two of them have almost knee-length hair. I tried to create groups for French long hair on most of social networks, the best with the most views/likes is Instagram and there are also many guys who posting photos of their long hair, this Instagram is https://www.instagram.com/lesgarschevelus/ .
