Just posting a photo of my hair growth in 7 years. I've only ever had an inch trim and that was about a year ago. My hair ends right before my waist.
Hi Dak, welcome to the MLHH my friend:) Have to say your hair looks outstanding as you obviously took excellent care of it over the years. The pluses of straight hair is that you achieve length quicker than if it were wavy or curly. Being my own hair is straight like yours it also can be prone to tangling if you don't keep after that. Are you planning on growing it longer if nature allows? Anyway looks stunning so enjoy the attention ;) Cheers

Thank you very much for the kind words and welcoming, my friend! I plan on growing it as long as I possibly can, hopefully not going bald anytime soon(knock on wood), lol.. it does in fact tangle very easily and since I do physical labor all day, I have to tie it back in several pony tails (as you see) just to keep it from getting too crazy.
I don't feel you will ever have to worry about going bald as long as it hasn't affected other men in your family that are older.I'm grateful my own hair has survived the test of time as I approach the ladder years of my life.I too have to restrain my hair during work or physical activities just to avoid having to deal with detangling had I not taken those steps. In a way its a bummer as I'd love more than anything to let my hair fly free all day but in reality its better keeping protected from the elements therefor sacrificing a little vanity ;) LOL. LOve the tail btw! Cheers

Thank ya very much.. I dont in fact have any balding family so I feel I'll be okay lol. I can't wait to (hopefully) have my Locks down to my knees like some of these folks.
36 and no baldness yet. Luckily my mother's father and father's mother kept their hair late into life and never had any hair loss.
Hey Dak,
Awesome Hair, Dude!
Are you new to this site?
Have you thought about putting your hair under the back of your shirt when you are working in order to keep it out of your way?
I like that you intend to let it grow as long as it will go. I intend to do the same.
Your long haired bro,
Raymond
Raymond - Thank you for the welcoming! I literally just stumbled upon this site the other day after curiously googling if other men enjoyed having beyond average length of hair, and found this site to be a very awesome surprise.. I actually do put my hair under my shirt(I work in a factory with lots of moving conveyor belts; wouldn't want to get caught in one of those!!!), and it works just fine. I used to have it braided by my ex before we broke up but now I need to learn for myself, which I've noticed there are tutorials for things like that on here so that's awesome! Thanks a lot for the kind words.
Dak
I did the segmented ponytail when mine was waist length and I continue to do it now, even though mine is only a bit below my shoulders, because it's such an effective way to prevent tangles. This'll really help you in the long run.
Very, very, very impressive. And I am very, very, very envious.
Hey Dak,
Your hair looks great. You must take good care of it, as it looks very healthy. Thanks for posting the pic and if you are new here - welcome to the brotherhood.

AWESOME is all I can say!!!
Thanks a lot John, Marx, and Marco! Haha.. It's funny that when I started growing( i made the conscious decision when I was 12) everyone in school at that time were your average cruel kids, poking fun at what was considered "weird" or "abnormal", especially having grown up in Southern Indiana.. Now that we're all getting into our 20's, most think its awesome how long I've been able to grow it but flashback 7 years, they all hated me for it.. But alas, you just gotta go with your heart on some things and I haven't and probably won't see myself cutting my hair anytime soon, cause its more of an attached being in itself, ya know? Especially having been with it for this long, after the hours of brushing combined put in, lol.. But again, thanks everybody! Grow on!
Dak
I sometimes think that people make unwarranted remarks about someone with long hair simply because they're jealous.
Dak you have some great looking hair.
I do agree that people do make unwarranted remarks about guys with long hair because they are jealous. (And insisting that long haired men cut their hair.) And in a number of cases that jealousy extends to their own ability to grow any hair (i.e they lost hair.)
Where in southern Indiana? I went to high school at Silver Creek in Sellersburg.

I agree. Awesome. My goal is waist length. Still have a few years to go.
Hey Dak, your hair looks fantastic. Look forward seeing your progress towards achieving your knee length goal. And since you got plenty of years ahead of you to do it, you'll get there no doubt about it!

Hi Dak,
Your hair is hands-down absolutely SPECTACULAR!!!!!!!
I also happen to like your Willie Nelson T-shirt, as I'm an avid fan of C&W music (I do a lot of Country 2-Step and other C&W dancing). I had the privilege of seeing & hearing Willie live in concert a few years ago at a place called the Mountain Winery here in Northern California. His voice is as smooth as velvet, I just love him!!
And before I forget to say it: Welcome to MLHH!!!

Your hair looks really awesome and you're a good looking gentleman. I'm sure Willie Nelson would also agree. Is your hair naturally straight or do you straighten it?
Hi Dak,
gorgeous hair, 7 years, that's soo long and just one trim! Congrats on the good hair!
