Hello gang ! I have really enjoyed 25 months of hair growth from a buzz cut and have learned alot about patience and willpower. The longer my hair gets the happier I become. I guess that happiness has been noticed by family and I seem to have inspired my father and my brother. They are determined to grow out their own hair. My father has made it to 13 months so far, and my brother is 5 months in. Here is me at almost 26 months in. Take care all !
Outstanding! Well done, on all counts!
Best regards,
Val
Your hair is coming along great and its good that your family
members want to follow you. I think its nice that you always
have a smile in your pics.
Patrick, you are amazing on several fronts. Your hair growth is outstanding and also you are inspiring others to grow out their hair as well. On top of that you show enthusiasm throughout your journey :) You even inspire me even though I feel I've gone as far as I can length wise. Keep us updated as your locks get longer and longer. Cheers my friend !!!!

Hey Patrick Brands,
Awesome Hair, Dude!
Bro, you are a born long hair. You look happier with yourself with each update pic. I'm sure that you realize that yourself. Being a long hair is just part of who you are. I'm sure that if the unthinkable were to happen you would somehow feel incomplete.
As for inspiring your father and your brother to grow out their hair; it can't help but happen. These two (2) guys know you and love you. They perceive the self-confidence and the sense of you being comfortable in your own hair. They see that long hair looks more attractive. Of course, they would want that for themselves. Who knows whom them will inspire to throw off the shackles of societal expectations for male grooming and realize the fulfillment of that part of who they are by growing out their hair? I remember when you began your long hair journey. You were concerned about the reactions of your superiors to your growing out your hair. You stayed strong and you earned their respect. I wonder if by your growing out your hair you might have inspired any co-workers and/or superiors to grow out their hair.
Your long haired bro,
Raymond
Looking good Patrick;....glad your hair journey is as rewarding as mine...and that you are empowering those around you. You look very happy...keep it up dude!
I'll be posting my long awaited update later this week....Scott
I can't wait to see your update :)
Well done Patrick, looking good!
Bruce

Same on this end. My son (8 years old) is reaching the 2 years landmark, after he asked me for permission of keeping hair long (he was routinely given a very short cut). Of course I agreed, I was already past 12 months myself and I reckon he was imitating me.
He's got thin and light brown hair reaching down the middle of his shoulder blades. He's invariably mistaken by strangers for a girl (he has very fine face traits) but seems not to bother a lot, at least as long as there is no peer pressure to hair cut from the one he knows and cares for.
For the records: there are only a handful male longhairs in his school, the usual 1 to 20 ratio that I remark here in France.
Cheers
