Shampoo once a week with Kiehls Olive Fruit Oil shampoo. Apply Kiehls Fruit Oil Conditioner, then rinse to dry. Use leave in conditioner every morning. Use the hair salon every 4 months. Trim myself in between.
For facial sun spots that developed regardless of long hair cover, I have a dermatologist apply the liquid nitrogen gun to remove the facial skin blemishes. 15 zaps for $75.
I have enjoyed sharing the Other Posts data base with Bill over the years on MLHHB. I tried in vain to provide something similar to Bills comments. I could not keep up. I just couldnt do it. Bill was just too intellectually ahead. So I just posted pictures and gave up.
Please keep Bills last posts combined with me. To show the male body with very long hair as the most wonderful aspect of the physical beauty of the human being. Bill wanted to keep this going above all else.
Thanks again.

Hi Don,
Great update... thanks for sharing the photos and care information. That's a lot of hair for six months! How long was it when you decided to start growing it out?
--Val
Hi Val,
I have had my hair at this length over a number of years. It has not changed much for some time. Starting from scratch, this would take me about two years to grow back, the longest hair being in the back at about 1 ft. from the top of the crown down near the shoulder blades. At a growth rate of 6 inches per year. The hair salon leaves this longer in back with some layering on the lower rim. The lower back is thinned to prevent bulging out. The sides are more layered/ thinned to prevent bulging out there, to prevent the Larry look of the "Three Stooges. This is about the longest I can grow this with family and work considerations. So I show my hair using different background photo shots. The wall stone carvings inside Ankor Wat in the long hallways show the nobility with long hair at year 1000 A.D. , similar to the men in India at this time. Other tourists are looking at religion or art. Im looking at hair. Looks like short hair is a more recent event.
Thanks, Don

Hi Don,
Just curious if it weren't for family or work considerations how long would you"like"to grow your hair out?Inquiring minds want to know so to speak ;) Cheers

Thanks Mark,
Half way down my back. You are right, I would look so much better that way. I saw a renaissance wall mural in a palace in Milan two years ago showing a guy with curly brown to blonde hair half way down his back, and on the sides, dressed in colorful clothes for the time. The painting of this guy must have been 15 ft. tall. Some people in the hallway said Hey, that looks like you. That really made my day. Even now, I can feel my hair below my neck, working in the vegetable garden or pruning the flower vines, so peaceful, natural. Need to keep working on friendly persuasion. This length should not wait until retirement. I think I am making some progress.

Hey Don,
Your hair looks great, as always! But just as much as the hair itself, I always enjoy seeing your outdoor backgrounds -- besides beautiful, I notice some of the little things, like, for example: that metal orchard ladder on the far left side of the pic!! Definitely the most useful type of ladder for any gardener, I love 'em, don't ever want to be without one!
Take Care,
Ken

Hi Ken, ,
The orchard ladders are so safe to use with the wide base. Especially on uneven ground full of gopher holes. I only use the conventional fiber glass ladders on pavement or decks. I also use the orchard ladders for construction, and especially painting. I used both types of ladders building the greenhouse on pavers in the photo.
Take Care

Don, I love your garden pics, that property looks just beautiful -- and that greenhouse you built looks so cool!!! Living in the big city, if it wasn't for the great price I pay for this rent-controlled apartment, I'd LOVE to get the hell outta San Francisco, as I much more prefer being out where there is more green and open space, instead of tall buildings and cement. Thank goodness I work over in an unincorporated rural area of the East Bay, where I maintain that rose garden (I've occasionally posted pics from there, especially when Bill & Larry visited me at work a couple of times in years past).
Thanks for sharing this really nice pic!!

Great update Don!

Thanks Bruce,
Need to keep sunlight behind my back when taking hair shots. Then find some dark shading in the background for contrast. Still takes a number of pictures to select the best ones.
