Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend and summer weather. I just completed a fresh henna redo so figured why not take the opportunity to do an outdoor selfie pic in the bright sunshine. I just love how the sun brings out the color :) I've been doing the henna for a number of years now and have never regretted it. I have no idea what my natural color would look like anymore but given my age I like this better than what it would look like otherwise. Cheers

Hey Mark,
Awesome hair and doo, bro.
The henna redo becomes you. Please keep posting updates.
Your long haired bro,
Raymond
Hi Raymond,
Thank you for your input.I really enjoy the henna refreshes when everything matches so perfectly :) I'm always happy with the results each and every time.Hoping you are enjoying a nice weekend my friend.Cheers

Walter
Hi Walter,
Ha ha, very good one but really that's what it seems like doesn't it? The sun shining through my hair looks so awesome.Hoping all is well with yourself these hot summer days my friend:) Cheers.

Wow, this may be your most dramatic henna picture ever! That color is really cool. Henna is about one of the only things I haven't tried. Part of it is the process that intimidates me but you must have the routine down well now. Looks great!
Hi Jason,
This is probably one of my best outdoor photos showing how brilliant the henna color that I chose really is.My indoor shots never seem to do it justice but this one is a winner for sure.
I do have the process of applying the henna down to a science now.Over time I found that I can even leave it in for a shorter periods of time before rinsing it out.I cover my hair first with the henna then I do the beard next for only an hour additional before washing it all out.Let it air dry and this is what the results are:)I never once regretted going this route with my hair.Hope you are having a nice summer weekend.Cheers.

HOLY KA-ZOWEE!!!! That is one eye-blinking, slap-me-in-the-face, bucket of ice-cold water dumped on my head way for me to wake up this morning, Mark!
Amazing pic!!
Brilliant color!!!
AWESOME hair!!!!!
Is this Henna color the same one you've used in past times, or a new shade of red? All you have to do now is stand next to a neon moon in a C&W bar, and every cowboy in town would be shaking in their boots!! You look like a serious force to be reckoned with, I love it!
"Later, 'gator!"

Hey Ken,
Ha ha, I have to chuckle at your opening remarks about my hair mainly because it's really no different than when I first colored it some three or four years ago.I do recall having to change once because the vendor kinda forced me to due to what was available. What made this particular picture so spectacular was the fact I took the image outdoors in the bright sunshine as opposed to my normal indoor pics.Hopefully my hair isn't too intimidating to those cowboy "he men" you speak of ;) LOL Cheers

Hi Mark
I haven't posted in along while, but I do have a look from time to time. I hope you are well (you certainly look very happy), it's good to see the old crew are still around. I just had to comment on your hair and beard, both look amazing, and your hair seems fuller than ever, and I really like the longer beard.
I'm still sporting the shorter hair but my beard is long, my hair is rather grey now which makes me question growing out again, but now, well I see there are natural options that don't damage the hair ( or so it seems).
Anyway, take care and keep it all growing :)
Dave
Hi Dave, it's awesome to hear from you! I'm happy that you still do check the hyperboard occasionally as lately we did have a lot of alumni check back in which is nice to see. Yes the old mlhh is still soldiering on but there have been some changes here and there. In case you missed the thread a couple months ago our good friend Bill Chossier passed away :( That was very sad when you think of all he's done for this community. But we all forge ahead to keep the dream alive here my friend.
Your still a great friend Dave whether short or long haired as the person is still the same :) As you know I do color my hair naturally with henna for many years now and still love it.I'm grateful to still have my hair at my advancing age :) Ha ha. However we follow our dreams and do what makes ourselves happy so I hope you are following that same mindset.Hope to see more posts from you even if it's not about your hair. I bet your beard is fantastic! Take care and hope to run into you again:) Cheers

Thanks for the kind words Mark, I feel the same, its whats on the inside that really counts.
I love the effect that henna has, it almost reminds me of the great 80's metal days, its a cool look my friend :)
Yes I did read about Bill but didn't post anything as it had slid quite a way down the listings - very sad, my thoughts go out to Larry and all his friends here and elsewhere. He sure left a great legacy.
See you around buddy
Dave
Hi Mark,
Wonderful thick hair. I have applied hair color to my wifes long hair for several years. I put on the plastic gloves that come with the hair coloring kit. The coloring is so powerful, it stains the skin. Some effort to massage the thick shampoo coloring agent into the hair from the plastic tube. Have to really gob it in to make sure all the hair is soaked in with this goo complex. Let it set for a few hours then shower the rest off. Doesnt seem to stain the hair scalp. But it sure stains my hands. Over in India, some people with thin hair may have tried some cheaper hair coloring products that may damage the hair, according to pharmacy merchants. Because the dye is so strong, it can irritate the scalp. So we use brand recommended at the hair salon. Apply all through the hair every four months. with touch ups every two months to cover the center of the scalp.
Don
Hi Don,
Thank you for your response. The hair coloring you do for your wife is way different from what I do.I chose henna because of the color plus its all natural.I too wear gloves when applying the henna because it does stain the skin but thankfully it does fade quickly should I get some on uncovered skin.I normally redo the henna every eight weeks to freshen it all up.So basically the selling points for me was all natural plus the brilliant color :) Cheers

Wow, what an intense fiery red, it looks good! Now no one will lose you in a crowd, haha. Also your beard has grown, there are many guys with long hair who start to grow their beards as well. It's nice to read that you enjoy henna. I imagine that dying hair is fun :) Keep it up!
Thank you for your reply and comments.Ha ha,yes the color makes me very unique and unforgettable I suppose. My beard is the longest its ever been so it'll be interesting to see what the terminal length ends up being.I have the henna process down to a science and actually enjoy the process :) Cheers
