Hey dudes, long time lurker (SPOOKY!) I've seen some really awesome hair here, you dudes are just awesome! Wondering if anybody can help me?
I've been growing my hair since 2009-ish (for the second time) and well it's been stuck at nipple length for about 2 years now! very annoying because I'd really love a waist length mane.
I trim my hair every 6 months taking off as little as need be but can't progress :( Can anyone share some tips with us on maximising the chances of achieving said goal of a beautiful long healthy mane?
Cheers guys
I'd say it depends on how much you're trimming - I'm guessing it's probably just a little, half an inch or an inch. With the expectation that you're growing half an inch a month, which is average, if there's a substantial "gap" between three inches and what you generally trim every six months, I'd expect you're at terminal length.
I don't know of anything that can increase terminal length, maybe some of the other guys here have some ideas.
Dave
Are you at terminal length? Maybe not. Remember hair grows at 1/2" per month so you maybe trimming a tad aggressively.
I hit terminal length a long time ago. I'm happy with my hair but if it could get longer it would be even more appealing. We're all programed genetically, not much can be done beyond that.
Taking off perhaps 1/2 inch every 6 months :) Perhaps I have reached terminal length then. :(
Just don't trim then ;-)
Mine seems to be terminal at waist length, but I only mean natural waist, not belt length, and only some of my hair reaches that length, and that's without trimming.
