.I'll never understand why parents battle their sons over having long hair as it just a natural thing really.It doesn't hurt anyone,doesn't start wars,doesn't cause starvation.....well you get the idea ;)
At the age of 62 I can understand where the parents are coming from. A number of them served in the military and bring that military experience home with them at the end of the day.
Also a number of parents felt that having a son with long hair
reflected badly on their parenting.
And then there were the schools and employers who were very much against long hair.
Sadly alot of this battle still rages on today although it is better than it was in the 60s. (it's not perfect but it is better.)
