I have been "away" for a long time, but not to the barber shop! Here's my three-year update almost day for day since my last hair-butchering (September 2013).
Growth seems slower with the length, but I am just taking it as it goes. I'll be at terminal length any time between now and two years from now. We'll see.
Bravo to others on this board also growing their locks.
Best wishes,
Anthony
Fantastic update, Anthony... kudos on the great head of hair, and thanks for sharing! Hard to believe it's been three years already!
Warm regards,
Val
Outstanding update, Anthony! Its been fun to be along for the journey with you both for the actual hair growth and also the philosophical insights that youve shared. I dont see much taper so I suspect youre still quite far from terminal length.
Jason
Thanks, Jason, for the encouragement. You have a lot more experience with hair than I have. I would like my hair down to my lower back before I start any careful trimming. It would be nice to think that I am years shy of terminal length despite my age (57)!

Your hair looks super.
Scott
Anthony! Your hair looks so good. The color and texture are excellent.
We're at the same stage of growth (I'll hit three years in two weeks), but your hair looks about three inches longer than mine. Have you had trims? I've had about four in three years.
I have had no trims at all, just the occasional snip-off of an obviously split end. I don't have the impression that it's growing very fast, but I take a relaxed attitude about it. I appreciate knowing from Jason's observation that it's not "tapering", which would indicate terminal length.
Keep yours going too, and show the world that we are free persons and don't fit into any corporate mould!

Hi Anthony,
Awesome update as I can imagine you are very satisfied where you are at, hair wise, during this moment in your journey.I always applauded your philosophy of no trims whatsoever.Hair will become longer if you just let it do its thing as you are proof of that.I never trim my hair so based on where I'm at I feel terminal has been achieved. Now I can enjoy the fruits of our labour ;) I certainly hope more length is in your future.Cheers

LOOKS GREAT! I wish mine would grow that fast!
Very nice progress
Wow Anthony, you got a great head of hair! If the growth slows down, I'd recommend a very short trim (half an inch or 1 cm) to clean the ends and stimulate growth. It works for me and I'm 58.

Hi Anthony,
Ah, yes! I have been looking forward to your update! I must say you have made excellent progress and I just love your color and the straightness of your hair! I sure hope you keep it growing longer and longer!
I have been absent from the board as well. However, I will soon be posting a 1 year update since my idiotic self-induced hair butchering. My hair is coming along but not quick enough for my preference!
Thanks for posting this very inspirational update! Please take care my friend!
Ted
Nice to hear from you, Ted. It's an ongoing adventure for me. Don't look back, only forward and take it day by day like a first-timer.
Anthony
Anthony,
Fantastic progress, and looking great!
I think you have long way to terminal. At 3 years, I thought I was shedding so much of the longer hairs, that I assumed I couldn't grow much longer hair. Today, at 10 years (or is 11?), my hair is butt length. So be patient and you will be rewarded
Bruce
Thanks, Bruce. I am patient and have observed that hair grows in fits and starts. There is also the illusion of it seeming to be thinner as it gets longer. Also, I have lower expectations given my age. I think you are right that it will grow. However, I'm inclined to limit it to lower back length for practical reasons.
