Hey, Gang! Thought I'd post a couple of recent pictures. Been growing about four years, but not without trims along the way. I'm pretty happy with the results so far.
I don't seem to get any guff about my hair, and if anybody thinks I look 'like a girl' they seem to keep it to themselves. But I'm going on 60 years old now, so probably the age gap that LHIA refers to is in effect.
In June I moved from Gold Coast, Australia to Colorado Springs, USA. I don't notice any difference in the way I'm received by others in the two places, although CS has a reputation as being a conservative place. BTW, as I'm retired military i am frequently on the area military bases for various reasons and no discernable reactions there unless it's behind my back.
I'm retired and not seeking work at this time, so employer/potential employer reaction is not a factor.
My hair is now mid-back length. I'm maintaining this length until I decide to grow it further. Monthly trims, besides maintaining the length, seem to keep the ends looking nice. It's not always as curly as in the pictures, just after a washing. I like it curly but am unwilling to use a curling iron or some such to keep it that way all the time.
Hope all are well. For the Jews on the board, shana tova and a good inscription for the next year!
Don

Here's the second photo. Cheers, all!
Hey Don,
Your hair looks awesome!
I am now living in Quemado, New Mexico. Perhaps we can get together sometime.
This morning I discovered on YouTube a boyband, presumably Jewish called "Maccabeats". I like their sound and message.
Your long haired bro,
Raymond
Thanx, Raymond! Yes, the Maccabeats are a group of yeshiva (rabbinic seminary) students from NYC. They're quite a phenomenon in the Jewish community. Be well, my friend!

Your hair looks great. Happy new year 5777. Talk about a lucky number 3 7s in a row.
Scott
Thanx, Scott! Yes, 777 is considered to be an auspicious number. Let's look for good things to happen in the next 12 months.
Hi Don.
Your hair looks great.
Thank you, Riko! As does yours!
Don
LOOKS GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!
Hair looks good Don.
I'm 57 and I can say issues with long hair on guys is is not like the old days. I was a long hair for 47 years now !! People are more tolerant/acceptable today. But --- you can still find closed minded idiots out there.
Cheers,
Bob
Well done for the hair and for keeping going as Sampson did. Make sure you don't get yours cut off!
Most of us are left alone and people don't care what other people look like except employers, family and friends. I am so glad to be self-employed with my little translating business.
Don't worry whether it is straight or curly. Leave it to nature.
As a Christian, I wish you God's blessing.
Anthony
Thanks, Anthony! Yes, I don't want to take any chances with all those Philistines out and about! Blessings to you, Brother!
Don
Looks great! I hope you keep growing your hair out!!
Walt
Now why am I not surprised to hear such sentiments from this group??! Thanx, Walt!
Don
Don,
The hair looks great! Hair pictures from the top of Pike's Peak are a must if you're in Colorado. Also, thanks for the well wishes for a great new year during these Holy Days..
Blessings and keep it growing for sure...
Tristan
Okay, Tristan! I'm back in Australia for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, but when I get back to Colorado I promise - weather permitting - to go up to the Pikes Peak summit for a hair picture!
All the best...
Don
Hi Don,
A most excellent update from you! Nobody better give you guff about your hair! The color, the curls everything is just perfect! I think this length is great, however longer is always better! You know that! Hopefully you will decide to grow even further! Please be well my friend!
