Hi. I have been growing my hair for 1 year already. Trimmed nothing, except for the bangs. The ends are not split. I don`t like the way it looks right now, so most of the time I hide it under a beanie.
Should I grow more hair and then try to style it? And then, what style would fit my figure? I like bangs, and I would keep them, but I`m open to any other kind of hairstyle.
In the end,I just want to be neat.
Hi pclisan,
Your hair looks fine. I think you should let it grow past your shoulders and see if you like it. You can still have bangs at that length. I believe your dark straight hair would look awesome at mid-back length. But this all depends on what length you are comfortable with. I do hope you keep it growing though! Please be well my friend!
Ted
Hey pclisan,
Your hair looks awesome, bro!
I recommend that you let all your hair grow. There is so much you can do with long hair. You can wear many hairstyles.
As for your bangs; there are several things you can do.
1. Decide which side of your head you want to part your hair on. Comb/brush your hair to the side just sweeping over your eye. When your hair falls in your face simply flip it to the side with sharp flip of your head. When the hair is long enough you can tie that lock of hair with your ponytail. Start putting your hair into a ponytail and either hide the ponytail under the back of your shirt or let it hang down your back, depending on your circumstances.
2. Part your hair in the middle. You can either let your hair just sweep over both eyes and then off to the side or you can start you part just about one (1) inch above your hairline and let the bangs fall over your forehead.
Experiment and see which style you like. That's part of the joy of being a long hair.
Your long haired bro,
Raymond
Hi pclisan,
I'm in a similar situation to you and growing my hair out for the second time but this time I've decided to keep bangs as I quite like them. It really depends what you want to do with the length and I presume you want the sides to catch up with the back and how long you want to grow it out. For myself I keep my bangs trimmed quite short. After all growing your hair out is a personal journey and just takes time for it all get to one length excluding the bangs. Don't let others decide for you and do what is right for your self.
I hope that helps and always happy to offer advice.
Richard.
What I'm shooting for myself is just long all over. Bangs seem to limit you to one look, but universally long gives you more options. My wife likes my long hair but keeps trying to trim the front to keep it out of my eyes. ("no, if you keep trimming it will never get long!")
But, suit yourself, find your own style. Most guys don't grow long hair nowadays because they give primary importance to what other people think. They do it for themselves. You have thick, young hair that you can do practically anything with.
If you like the bangs, keep them while the rest grows out.
