Hi all,
It has been about 1 year since I cut my hair. It was a stupid mistake and I regretted it immediately. I have enjoyed all of your inspirational photos and they have kept me going. I can't wait to get to the 2 year mark. I believe then I will be at least content with the length. Of course, if I can keep growing it even longer after then, I plan on it. Thanks for looking and keep it growing!
Ted

Here is the back.
Okay, Ted...I'm proposing a national hotline for those thinking about cutting their hair, to talk some sense and get them past the moment of crisis! :-) Keep it growing and flowing, Brother!
Don
Hi Don,
Thanks a bunch for your reply! That's a great idea! I don't know what made me cut it. I guess a momentary lapse of reason! I shall keep it growing! Please be well my friend!
Ted
Hey Ted,
Your hair looks awesome, dude!
It looks like you have about six (6) inches of growth. What a difference a year makes. I'm glad to hear that you intend to let you hair keep growing.
Enjoy the journey back.
Your long haired bro,
Raymond
Hi Raymond,
Many thanks for your kind words! It seems like it's been longer than a year! I don't plan on cutting my hair again until I get it to the length I want, which is waist length. I am trying to get it all one length at least. I am wondering how it will look as it gets even longer.
Your hair is looking wonderful as well! I really like the color and waviness! Please keep it growing and flowing! Please be well my friend!
Ted
Hi Ted
Good to see your smiling face again and your hair looks great.
Keep in touch, my friend
Walter (White Tail)
Hi Walter,
Thanks so much for your very nice reply! I hope you have been doing well and keeping busy! Very nice to hear from you and I will definitely keep in touch! Please be well and safe my friend!
Ted
Well done, Ted.
You have a great volume of hair and it's all sitting beautifully, even if it is not quite yet out of awkward stage. You'll soon be at 18 months and 2 years! Keep at it...
I think it would be a great idea for someone to set up a help line for people thinking of cutting their long hair by impulse. Many people here on MLHH recommend the 2-week rule.
I'm sure your hair will keep growing as it did first time round for you. Good luck...
Anthony
Hi Anthony,
I do appreciate your very kind words! I have been really inspired by your updates, needless to say! Your hair is just awesome with the color and nice texture! I shall keep growing to see what happens with my hair. Hopefully it will get at least to my waist and I wish it would turn all gray. I shall keep it growing! Please be well my friend!
Ted
Greetings Ted,
Wow, that's a fantastic hair update my friend. Do you feel it's growing back in the same as the first time? The color looks the same from what I recall but can't remember the texture. Regardless in spite of the mistake of cutting your roaring back nicely :) Cheers
Mârk
Hi Mark,
Thanks a bunch for your very nice words! I think it is growing pretty much the same but seems thinner to me now. It could be also slightly straighter than it was before. Not sure how that happened. I plan to let it grow at least to waist length if I can. Probably take about 5 or 6 years though.
Please be well my friend.
Ted
Ted
Looking good Ted, keep it up!
Hope all is well with you....
The Spaf Man
Hi Spaf Man,
Glad I brought you out of the woodwork! Thanks so much for the very nice reply! I will definitely be keeping it growing! Everything is going okay with me right now. I feel good most days and have stayed away from the hospital!
Please be well my friend!
Ted
Hi Ted,
My apologies for the late reply, but it's always a pleasure to hear from you, and I hope that things are going well.
You are off to a wonderful start, and making excellent progress. Your hair is shiny and in great condition, and I look forward to your future updates.
Take care, and keep up the good work.
David
Hi David,
Wow! Great to hear from you! I thank you kindly for the very kind reply! I am trying my hardest to get to my old length! Man it takes so long to grow! I can't wait to get to the 2 year mark again! At least it will be below my shoulders by then.
Please be well my friend!
Ted
looks good, ted, and is growing back nicely. Such a rich dark color. it shows so well. Can only get better and better. So, to paraphrase a historic line....."Remember the Mane"
Hi Jason,
Sorry for the late reply! I thank you so much for the very kind comments! I do have a little bit of silver/white coming in at the temples. But that is totally fine with me. I happen to love long flowing silver hair on both men and women! And yes, I believe you are correct-it can (and will) only get better and better! I will definitely Remember the Mane!
Please be well my friend! By the way, I wouldn't mind seeing a current pic of your hair! I know for a fact you have the color I want mine to be!
Ted
Believe me, brother, I have been there. The awkward stage is a real monster to get through for a lot of people. I have been past that stage for quiet a while now, and I have to say it was worth it and seemed a bit easier for me this time around looking back. Try keeping it under a hat to keep it tamed and out of sight through the awkwardness. Worked a lot for me. I find that I don't wear a hat near as much as did then. I do sometimes when I have it in a ponytail where I pull my hair through the adjustment loop in back of the hat. When I play in my country band on weekends, I let it all hang down. I am a fan of throwing my hair around while playing music, and yes, even while playing country music! Lol! Peace and God Bless, brother. Keep it growing, there is light at the end of the awkward stage, my friend!
Hi David Lee,
Thanks a bunch for the great reply! I think I learned my lesson finally! This will be the third time I have grown my hair out in my life. And I think my hair might even look the best this time around! It seems to have changed in thickness and texture. I usually just comb it back and let it fly-like a true freak flag! And I can tell you. There is absolutely nothing wrong with throwing your hair around playing country music! We love our country music down here in Texas! Of course, nothing wrong with a little rock neither:) I am seeing a dim light right now-hopefully it just gets brighter and brighter!
Peace and God Bless you as well my Brother! Please be well!
Ted
Hi Ted,
You have wonderful, thick hair. You will be glorious at 2 years!
Bruce
Hi Bruce,
Many thanks for your very nice comments! I figure at 2 years I will at least be below shoulder length. I eventually would just like to let it grow as long as it will! Can't wait to feel my hair flowing around as I move! Definitely worth the wait!
Please be well my friend!
Ted
Hi Ted.
First and foremost, I'm happy to hear that you're feeling much better. Regarding your hair, I guess you will cherish this "new" journey more than ever before. I would suggest that you stop dwelling on what happened one year ago and look forward to future growth. Nothing beats being positive at all times, whether it's for your health or growing your hair long! Be well my good friend!
A.D.
Hi A.D.,
I thank you kindly for your very nice words! Yes, I am feeling much better nowadays. I still have my rough days though. Comes with the territory I guess:) I am definitely enjoying watching my hair grow out again! Just have to be patient that's for sure! I am usually very positive about things, but cannot understand why I decided to cut my hair! Oh well, from here I go! And my apologies for not keeping in touch with you! And may you please stay well also my good friend!
Ted

Your mane is coming along well. Hopefully you won't cut it this time around.
Scott
Hi Scott,
I thank you kindly for your nice remarks! And you can rest assured I won't be cutting anytime soon! I want your length! I doubt I can achieve such greatness, but I can sure try!
Please stay well my friend!
Ted
