Hey guys !! Just wanted to share my 29th month of progress to you guys. I also turned 37 years old 4 days ago, and landed a new IT job with my county. They dont mind that my hair is long which is a huge relief for me. take care guys !
IT does tend to be a bit less focused on appearances and more on what you can actually do.

I just retired (at 60 due to a back injury) from a career in cyber defense for Uncle Sam. And yes, they're much more accepting of your appearance preferences - the skillset you have is more important, and there is already a shortage of highly skilled IT professionals.
