No. I started growing my hair long in 1964, I thrived on all the complaints that I got. I loved going to school each day knowing that I was going to crap for having long hair. And yes the complaints came, I got in trouble for having long hair, but I
stubbornly kept my hair long throughout my school years.
The more the complaints came the more I was determined to keep my hair long. My parents by this time were divorced, and my mother
was ok with my long hair.
