Hi,
I made a video about how I wash my hair with Aleppo soap. Have you heard of it? I've been using it for a year and I really like it. It makes my hair very soft.
Maybe you will find the video interesting.
Cheers,
Philip
Your hair is inspiring! If this soap makes your hair as it is, I will try it. Thank you for the information.
Thank you! I've been using this kind of soap for a year now and before that I had been using natural shampoos. Some people speak of an "adjustment phase" when the hair looks greasy after the wash for the first few times you use it. For me it was fine from the beginning, however I've also experimented with olive oil soap (earlier) with which I noticed this effect for the first wash. If you try it, let me know how it goes.
Hi Philip,
Just finished watching your video and have to admit the process is a bit time consuming.I'm guessing it also depends on the length of your hair as if it were shorter the time would be less.I know all too much about doing hair processes since I henna my own hair every six to eight weeks. That too takes a bit of time and patience but I have the routine down well so its fairly efficient :)How often do you wash your hair in this manner? I would like to try it someday but sounds like the soap has to be acquired online.Funny being the name of the soap made me think of Syria! Oh well that's another story.Anyway thank you for taking the time to post this as we all like to learn new hair care processes my friend.Cheers

Hi Mârk,
thank you for your message! I think washing the hair is ok and also fun, but what can be annoying is the time it takes to dry. But that's ok too, if I schedule my day accordingly. I do this roughly every 5 days.
It's true, most normal drug stores don't have this kind of soap, you can more likely find it in a bigger organic shop. I've tried some smaller organic shops but I wasn't lucky there. I've also tried olive oil soap which worked fine too, but the Aleppo soap is my favourite.
You are right, the soap is named after the city in which they originally produced it. It is the city in Syria that's been on the news (for way too long).
Cheers,
Philip
Hello this is kinda of off topic but I was wanting to know if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML. I'm starting a blog soon but have no coding know-how so I wanted to get advice from someone with experience. Any help would be enormously appreciated!
