If I'm not mistaken, this is the 20th anniversary of the first message ever posted to the hyperboard. Congratulations and kudos to everyone who continues to make this the friendliest and most supportive online community of all time!
Warm regards,
Val
First MLHH postHi Val,
What a blast from the past as that is even before I was active on this board.I've only been on the internet for two years at the time and how I remember the dial up connection to the net! LOL.Back then Bill Chossier wasn't even in the picture since Victor was running the show.In a way I miss those days of the internet as today things are so different and not in a good way at times. Thanks for bringing up this milestone for all of us to savor my friend :) Cheers

Hi, Val!
It's great news. It comes as great surprise that mlhh has been around for 20 years!
How is your long hair journey going? If I'm not mistaken I remember you writing that you and all your family have long hair.
Hi Mark,
My own hair journey has been stalled for the past couple of years, though all three of my sons (now ages 3, 8, and 4) have continued to grow and maintain long manes. Curiously, my 11-year-old daughter has the shortest hair of all my children... she's a big Cindy Lauper fan, and leans more in the direction of punk fashion :).

Val;
Thanks for pointing out the dayof celebration ! It has been a privilege for me to have been an active part of the MLHH for a good portion of those years.
Hi Val,
Thanks a lot for pointing out this important anniversary! It's amazing to think that it's been 20 years. I first posted here in 1999. Sometimes it's fun to go way back in the archive and read some of the threads and see some of the people who posted back then. A few are still with us. This has been a great place to not only discuss and receive support about long hair but also to make good friends.
Best,
Jason
Hi(gh)!
Oh yes, Victor Engel... I remember having used a photo of him as a terrain heightfield (!, with his dark hair and beard as low parts) for my first serious attempt at a POV-Ray animation back in 1997/98! And the need for converting the original TGA render images to a more common format led me to the discovery of IrfanView (www.irfanview.com)... too bad that none of the images rendered back then survived my horrible Windoze 3.11 system crash in 1998!
Does that mean you didn't back them up?
Hi(gh)!
No, there where no feasible backup media available to me that tim e - I got my fist CD-RW writer only one year later!
See you in Khyberspace!
