Just thought I'd post an update on my sons' hair status. I like to encourage all parents to allow their children to honestly and authentically express themselves. My kids have always made their own decisions regarding hair length, and thus far, all three of my sons have opted to grow their hair long. Here's a recent photo of my 16-year-old son, with his great-grandmother.

This photo was taken a few months ago, during a walk along the Lake Superior shoreline near our home. As you can see, the only head of hair in this picture that ISN'T outstanding is my own! For those who are wondering, I've long-since gone on record as being a staunch long hair supporter, though not a long-haired man, myself.

Hi Val,
Great seeing an update even though its not necessarily for yourself ;) Both your kids have awesome manes and thanks to you in supporting that.I'm hoping they are being treated respectfully while out in the real world. After all long hair is harmless and hurts no one.Thank you for checking in and hoping life has been treating you well my friend. Cheers

Ahh, kids are growing up so fast these days and so on their hair, hahaha.
I would love to have a supportive father like you in my early days, maybe one day when I have kids I could do what my father didn't to me.
Love their hair, so shiny and silky.
Take care my friend!
Hi Val,
it is so interesting to see that all your sons have long hair. I'm very glad that you are such an awesome parent who teaches these values. I'm sure you and your kids will be an example to others, in real life or online.
Thank you for posting!
Phil
Looks like your sons all have blonde hair...did you have blonde hair as a youngster?
Cool! I could not have said it better.
Absolutely agree!
All three young guys have great hair!
It is great that from the early age they already know how to take care of long hair.
Hi, Val
your kids must be happy to have so open minded and progressive father! I think it is awesome that all three sons decided to wear their hair long. It can teach them how disregard all negative comments about their hair and encourage them to be themselves no matter what.
Best wishes to your family
Hey Val,
Great to hear from you.
I had wondered about how your sons were doing and if they were still growing their hair. I'm glad to see that they are. They all have gorgeous, your sixteen (16) year old son, in particular. You must be very proud!
Your long haired bro,
Raymond
Hi Val,
What an awesome update of your sons' hair! You've definitely been a role model for me as I've also taken the mantle of fatherhood. It's wonderful to be able to offer our children complete hair freedom and can only hope that society at large will one day see this need as self-evident.
Best,
Jason
The blonde gene appears to be strong, all of them are blonde. It's great that you are allowing them to express their individuality with regards to hair length.
I'm not around here much, but just wanted to say 'thanks' for all of the kind words! For those who asked about hair color, my kids get that from their mother... I've been black-haired all my life.
Cheers,
Val
