Man bun, man bun, man bun! A low man bun at the nape of the neck is formal & classy. Look at all the male celebrities rocking man buns. From teenagers such as Michael Jackson's son Bigi (Blanket), Celine Dion's son Rene Charles, to Jared Leto and Casey Affleck (who wore his while accepting his Oscar for best Actor). You cannot go wrong with a man bun.
A French braid; while a regular braid is nice, a French braid is more formal - you could do a simple, straight-up French braid, or go for something more elaborate like you see in some movies or TV shows (History's "Vikings" comes to mind, some of the braided styles on the guys are awesome).
You may not be able to do these yourself, so see if you can find a lady friend who's familiar with buns & braids to volunteer. Last resort, go to a salon and have them professionally done. Take pictures of styles you like that you found on the internet with you, to show them what you would like.
