In this new representation of Thor in the new movie, Thor has a buzz cut. I am deceived, and not surprised, that long-haired heros have no place in these times.
What do you think ?
Thor breaks cliché of Norse Gods.I think it's fitting that, when short-haired, Thor is a slave.

One of the that concerns me in this film is Thor has an axe instead of a hammer.
The one scene I want to see in this film is to have Stan Lee
play the part of a janitor who comes into the room, picks up the hammer to clean under it, and then return the hammer.
As far as Thor having short hair, bear in mind these shots may have been done very early in the process. (before costuming, special effects, etc.) Often times the trailer is made when almost none of he film is the can. It also may be a film that portrays Thor over time, before or after he has long hair.
So I would say wait for the final product.
Cool!
I want this scene too!
Yes...Stan Lee...how old is he? A hundred I guess...some people never get old
94 years old.
I had him sign something recently. He had a minder telling him what to write. Mind you, that guy had long hair!
Hi George,
I think it's heresy! So unfortunate!

It reminds me of the film that portrayed Bobby Sands as having short hair. Bobby Sands in real life did not have short hair. Never seen that movie. Never will.
In a similar way, the idea of any Norse gods with short hair is ridiculous. Not saying they are real, exactly. Just long haired.

But don't worry. It's not just a silly decision, there's a proper reason in the plot because *spoiler alert* it turns out that Thor is forced to become a gladiator therefore losing his hair and his trusty hammer.
I think since Thor is more representative of a historical time from centuries ago it would only be natural for his character to have long locks.
I've noticed this in other medieval period films where the main character has a barber shop haircut.
this is nothing more than revisionism imho.

The new movie Thor: Ragnorok is out, and Thor indeed has
short hair. Fans are not happy about it. Also gone is his hammer.
The reviews indicate the haircut if forced as is the loss of his hammer. Apparently the loss of his hair doesn't lead to his loss
of strength.
Will anyone on this board go to see the movie?
I'd boycott it. It disrespects all of us.
They made a film about IRA hunger striker Bobby Sands in which the lead actor had short hair. Everyone knows he had shoulder length red hair. There are street murals in which you can see that. Didn't go to see the film and never will.
