Am I the only one who has a problem with my curly long hair. None of my other long haired friends have it and i wonder if its a common problem. It constantly gets knotted and it is difficult to go swimming.
Thanks
I dont think youre the only one with long curly hair. I mean, I have to keep my hair short because of how thick it is, but Im sure someone out there knows how you feel.
By the way, I should mention we have the same name.
I think that is pretty neat that we have the same name haha
Hi Jacob,
I also have naturally curly hair, it's just below my shoulder blades and quite heavy so the weight tends to stop it from going crazy curly;
Anyway, I used to have a real issue with knotty hair, even matted hair so here are some tips I've procured.
#1 brush it once a day, maybe more if necessary - find a decent hairbrush with thick bristles, I keep one in the shower, I brush my hair when it's soaked so it doesn't pull my scalp so much.
#2 use the right product - use hair product designed for your hair type (thick/thin etc), get anti-frizz spray, John Frieda do a good one, speaking of John Freida, they do a product that unwinds curls, this is good if you have extremely curly hair and don't like it.
[I personally love my curly hair so...] #3 learn to plait - Plaiting your hair is the best tip I can give you, it trains your hair to sit in individual curly strands; honestly, the results are stunning
plait it when slightly damp, you can leave it in all day or overnight for amazing looking hair the next day
I hope this helps, :)
