What do you guys do with your hair at night? tie it up, leave it flowing???
I leave mine loose but I pull my hair back with my hands when I change position in bed. You get used to it. It has to be brushed in the morning anyway.
But, I think that will depend on your type of hair. Mine is straight and slightly wavy, so easier than for others.
Going through the tedious stage of sleeping with short hair at present, whilst it slowly grows. You wake up and its sticking up everywhere, so you have to wet it. Awful! Going to try out the 7 day 5 minute coconut oil head massage from tomorrow, it speeds up proceedings to the tune of about 1/2 to 1 growth a week I am lead to believe. We shall see!

Sorry about the number of posts, was trying to get my pic the right way so you can see where im at!

Pre-chop, for the record..
Just a reminder - if you want your new avatar to show up, you must post with the email address you signed up with.
Thanks Jason. By the time I would have worked that out my hair would have been long again :-)
Leave it flowing.
Hi Neal,
In my case I do leave my hair loose. However I wear a T shirt leaving my hair tucked in keeps it from being pulled should I move around during the night.Cheers

ᎣᏏᏲ! (Hello)
0-si-yo
I have had various strategies to deal with this over the course of growing my hair. I have thought about getting one of those silk sleeping caps to keep the hair nice throughout the night. However, that was at about shoulder blade length. My hair is mostly around my waist and at pelvis level at the back, not quite tailbone but almost.
I do not wear a t-shirt or anything over it. At this length it is easier to deal with than when it was shorter as when I move around it does not tangle so readily. I have wavy to straight hair for the most part and the Winter time really straightens it due to the lack of humidity.
Hope this helps.
If you tend to toss & turn a lot, you risk tangles & knots. You can: tail it, braid it, or roll/fold it up & secure it to your head with a big fastener (a basic large barrette would work). If you pretty much stay in one position, you can probably leave it loose. It's personal preference, so do what works for you.
Hi Carol,
Not sure how old your avatar is. But I just noticed it is different from the one I remember. You look just lovely! Had to let you know! Please take care!

I used to wear a ponytail while sleeping to prevent tangles.
But I had some breakage of hairs were the tie pulls the hair together.
Also sometimes a few stands of hair are pulled which gives me pain.
So I switched to leave it loose and I enjoy the freedom.
The few extra tangles I dont care about anymore.
Like said before it has to be brushed anyway.
Down. I toss it across the pillow, I don't toss and turn much.
When I'm really really tired at night, it doesn't matter what I do or don't do with my hair -- my head hits the pillow, and "out" I go...
(It's when I wake up the next morning that I have to deal with all of the tangles in my hair - LOL!!)

At butt length I pretty much had it braided most of the time. Now, at mid back, I'll leave it loose and deal with thesnarls in the morn.

Thanks for all of reply's. I see some tie it up, others leave it down. I leave mine down most of the time but occasionally tie it up kinda high on mu head. I'll be 3 years into this adventure in March.
Nice Neal!
I'm leaving my hair loose every night. And I take a shower & wash my hair in the morning.
