On request a new update, last one was in may 2017.
My hair has grown since then but I also had a 10cm trim in september.
So it’s about the same length as before.
I searching for a length I’m comfortable with, this is the maximum I like.
I’m thinking about a shorter length to be able to wear it loose more often.
In life everything is well, I got an open ended contract at my new job.
It’s a smaller company as before but the same type of work (programming plc, and commissioning onsite)
I’m learning to design the electrical control cabinet as well which will be my new challenge for this year.
I work part time now, 4 days a week instead of 5 and I like the balance of work/private life a lot better now. There are more important things in life then money and working.
I’ve been together with my girlfriend for 4 years now, living together for 3,5 years. We are thinking about the future, we are going to do big maintenence to our home. We are speaking about having kids.
About a year and a half ago we got a puppy, we like her very much.
We like to take walks with her in the forest or on the beach.
That’s about it, I will try to stop by more often!

It’s great to hear from you and nice to see an update as well. Your hair has maintained its magnificence that we saw long ago when you first grew it out. I was amazed back then how it maintained its thickness so far down your back. I’m sure you could achieve the length you did previously but I totally understand your desire to have it somewhat shorter. In fact, I’ve been having my wife trim a few inches off every six months. I *really* wanted to achieve terminal length but got discouraged because of my hair’s fine texture and the damage. I’m not ruling out trying again at some point but the nice thing about trims, is how healthy the ends are afterwards.
I'm glad to hear things are also going well in your personal life. Does your girlfriend like your hair long or does she have no preference?

Yes, my hair is perfect for growing long. Fast growing, very thick and strong.
I’ve grown it to my belt in the past, but do not wish to grow it to maximum length at this time. Maybe in the future.
I also like the freshly cut ends, less tangles and easier to maintain.
Your hair has always been a big inspiration to me, looking forward to seeing your hair updates and who knows you might grow it to terminal length one day.
My girlfriend likes my hair a lot, she has longhair herself as well. She used to have hair to her upper legs. Recently she cut it to a length similair as mine because the weight of the hair gave her headaches.

Vacation in Finland june 2017, on top of a hike to 450 meter.
This was my hair in february 2016 just after a major trim.
I’m thinking about cutting back to this length and wearing my hair loose more often.
Don’t worry I will use the two week rule, or more like the two month rule. I always think long about all decisions I make.

you mean about having it shorter allows you to wear it down easier but what you have now is just worth keeping in my opinion.Ultimately its your decision but please do think long and hard about cutting it shorter.

Yes I'm really happy with my wavy hair, growing it out is hard but once past the akward stage it's smooth sailing.
I've always know you're preference for the longer hair instead of the shorter hair, I'm sorry if I disappoint you with my decisions. Of course I will think about it before going for a haircut. My haircut in september for 10cm was a test to see how I feel about shorter hair.
I was happy with the haircut but still thought it was a little too long. So maybe next time I trim for 15cm.
Yes I've had some hard times in the past, not knowing what to do with my life. But at the moment I've no complaints. Great to hear your life is going well, good luck with the improvements.

Yes MLHH is a special place, I'm sure this will survive facebook and all modern social media. This board has no spam or ads and just does what it has to do.

Longest hair can be alot of work and shorter hair can be tempting. Maybe a couple inches/centimeters at a time until your hair feels good and you're happy is the answer.

Thanks for the insight, last haircut was for 10cm in september.
That was already a test haircut, I liked the shorter length but still thought it was a little long. So next time I will cut more, if I don't like it it will grow back. The 10cm has grown back as well.

Your hair looks super here, with excellent thickness along with a nice wave, and you have managed to achieve a great length. Of course any length you want in the future is entirely up to you, but you definitely have the thickness to grow it longer should you wish to do so in the future.

At the moment I don't desire maximum length, just a decent longhaired look is ok.
