Hi, everyone! I'm not a regular contributor, thought it would be cool to share an update.
Looks frizzy and dry. Plus, the hair is gradually graying, definitely not going to add hair coloring other than shampoo and conditioner.
Thought about lopping it all off from the to time, other than that, going to keep it growing and flowing.
Hey Joe,
Thanks for sharing your update. You look awesome!
My hair has gone grey but, like yourself I have no intention of coloring it. Go natural all the way, man.
You look so natural with your hair, frizzies and all. Just keep it growing.
Your long haired bro,
Raymond
Hi Joe,
I can tell you I can't wait to get to this length! Your hair is looking great in all aspects! I sure hope you keep all thoughts of lopping out of your head! Maybe a trim but nothing more please! And graying is fine with me! Please stay well my friend!
Ted
Looking good. Don't mind the graying. It's been a lifelong goal of mine to be old and gray headed some day. I'm getting there.
My hair is all grey now, I keep saying I earned that grey hair every time someone told me to get a hair cut.
At the age of 63 i'm determined to not only keep the hair long but to also keep it it's natural color (be it grey or white).
If you do consider lopping it all off remember the two week rule. I would against lopping it all off but, ultimately it is up to you.
If you stop back and read the replies, have you considered treating the frizz & dryness? Using an oil like Coconut oil and adding a humectant to hold in moisture might ease the problems you have with frizzy & dryness. You can buy intensive hair masks & treatments to restore moisture. You can also go homemade. One treatment is to mix equal parts honey & an oil like olive, almond, avocado. Work it through your hair and leave it for around 15 minutes. Rinse it out with warm water, then use a mild shampoo and conditioner. Honey is a humectant.
An oldie but goodie, from the 1970's, is using mayonnaise as a treatment. Apply the mayo to hair, focussing on the ends. Wrap head in a warm towel and leave it in 5 to 10 minutes. Shampoo & condition as usual. Buy a bottle of pure Aloe Vera gel. Add to hair as often as you need, hair will absorb the gel. Aloe is a humectant. Try TREATING it 1st before you contemplate cutting. An intensive treatment followed by regular use of oil & Aloe might be all you need.
