Heck, I would have tripped over this also! What a sad story of people's ignorance. This boy had wonderful hair. But thank the Lord, it will grow back! I surely hope something good comes out of this. But I am not holding my breath! Thanks for posting this.

This really is an unfortunate situation but if this assault happened on campus the family should sue the school system,especially if they drag their feet on finding out who committed this crime.Once the identity of this person is learned then that family should be held accountable.However this is Canada so who knows.Cheers

I am shocked!
When I was at school, sometimes I was teased for wearing long hair but never ever tried to cut it off...
Since much of the public are the type of people you don't want to be around; I think home schooling is the answer. Better personalized education without the disturbances and jerks to deal with.
This is sad. I'm sure it was horrific for that kid. Fortunately those kid or kids involved didn't hold him down like in the Last Samurai movie! They must have had something really sharp to cut it off without him turning around :(
