: : I've been putting a little jojoba and peppermint oil on my scalp for the last week before bed (it's supposed to grow hair like rogain and if works then I'll post more on that). My hair isn't usually damp with water as well but was last night. When I wake up in the morning I get my scalp wet with warm water to move these oils and my skin oil to the ends after detangling with my fingers and then a brush. Well this morning I found a small knot of 3 hairs where the oil and water was. Argon oil on the knot wouldn't make the hair slip free and I broke them as far away from the scalp as I could get.

: : Does oil usually knot hair?

: Usually it doesn’t. Are you ends in good condition? I get a trim when my ends start to split. Use your fingers and start at the bottom of your hair. I find applying conditioner as I work on removing a knot helps.

I use Argon oil almost daily on the ends and have used it on knots to get them to release. My hair is curly and frequently dry and bushy on the ends.
