Hi there, I used to post a lot between 2003-2012 on my older hair journeys, this place is now really quiet sadly. Although I do lurk from time to time.
Here is my hair at I think just over 3 yrs growth today, I think I started from all one length at chin length in 2015? I haven't been posting like crazy like I used to and I don't even have any pics from 2015.
It seems to have grown really fast in the past year especially.
No plans to cut I like the way it is, it's the longest it's ever been now. My hair seems to be just a part of me. At 44 I don't really worry what others think any more, I couldn't give a %$##!!
Finding weird stuff happening at this length, like it's getting stuck in the car door, under my arms, I go to look down at my desk and my ponytail stops my head moving forward lol. I often wear it in a bun now because of this, especially to bed-the tangles are a nightmare.
Anyway hope all are doing well and will try to post more often!
Cheers,
Matt.
Hi Matt,
Welcome back to the mlhh :) It's nice to see when past members come back to the board after a long absence.I agree board activity isn't what it used to be but we stick around for those of you who feel this is home.
I have to say your hair looks fabulous so great job my friend. You've achieved a nice length in only three short years.Do you plan to grow your hair longer? Like you I'm older and could give a rats a** what people think especially since I've also grown my beard out as well.On top of that I henna my hair red but actually gotten compliments about it :)
Please do stop back when you can and pictures are always welcome!Cheers

Thanks! I have not tried Henna but could be fun, does it fade with time? Now that my hair is this long I sort of want to see how long it will go, maybe try for waist? The ends are getting a bit scraggly but I think I could get there in maybe 2-3 more years fingers crossed..
Cheers,
Matt
Hi Matt,
Thank you for your reply. As for the henna I've been treating my hair that way for well over five years now and have never questioned my decision to go that route with my hair.I can't recall ever getting negative comments but have gotten many positive ones :) The henna doesn't fade but as my hair grows out the new growth obviously comes in my natural color.I normally do re treatments every six to eight weeks when I can clearly see the new untreated growth. All in all I love my hair with henna.
I agree with you about about trying for longer hair length if its achievable.Mine is at terminal around mid back so I'm not complaining. At least its full and not thinning:) Have a great week my friend and hope my answers were to your satisfaction.Cheers

I'm older than you (64) and wish weird things happen with my hair. I haven't had a cut or trim in 7 years and the hair gods weren't as good to me as they were to you. My hair is barely below shoulder length and it falls out like crazy. My beard grows much better than my hair however.
Anyway your hair looks awsome and enjoy those weird things than happen with your hair.
Thanks Mike yeah I'm sure mine is getting thinner on top and seems to shed like crazy on wash day
Cheers,
Matt
Hi Matt,
I might have been lurking back when you were posting. Congratulations on growing it for 3 years after chin length. It looks beautiful and has a nice texture and colour! Of course, the hair gets in the way, haha. It looks like you can grow it a lot longer!! Keep it growing.
Cheers,
Phil
Thanks Phil! Your hair is looking great there!
Absolutely beautiful, both length, color, and texture, hope you grow it longer! (also, loved your videos on youtube if I'm not mistaken).
Thankyou:)
Welcome back Matt! That hair is looking superb. It has done well over the years.
Onward and Downward!
