Finally did it! Any thoughts, feedback, and help are all welcome :) I'm so happy to have gotten to this stage and I thank you all so much for the support you've given me, it means so much. This is the first of so many milestones to come <3

I can feel the rush of excitement in your words. I know the feeling. I dare say that every long haired guy has known the excitement when you can pull enough hair to the back of your head and tie it back with a hair tie. (I hope that you are using a hair tie without the metal fastener and not a rubber band.)
Bro, if you have tied your hair back in a pony tail, no matter how short, and felt a rush of the excitement of self-affirmation then you know deep down in the fiber of your being that you are a born long hair. You are not completely yourself without long hair. Bro, have you worn your pony tail "out in public"? Have you gone out into the usual places you go in your daily life among the people you usually see and interact with with your pony tail? It may make you a little bit nervous to do this but your hair is a part of who you are. If someone comments favorably about your hair then simply thank them. If they comment in a disapproving way just look at them with a look of surprise and disdain which silently says, 'I am not going to honor such a comment with a response.'.

Mazal tov, Avi! The first of many milestones. I remember the first time I was able to tie my hair back, and went out in public with it in the resulting ponytail. It was at the US Air Force Academy; I had a medical appointment, then went to tthe Base Exchange! (I was retired already at the time.) Anyway, enjoy!
