  I'm wanting to grow my hair out long, but it's in-between long and short, where it's just uncomfortable. So now I wear a Christmas hat.

    You have to keep growing until it is longer. If I were growing out my hair again, I would take a picture of my progress each month.

    Between long and short? Maybe you're trying to grow your hair out of an undercut right? If the undercut is your answer then I must say you should definitely be patient with it, the sides will be growing very crazy and wild than the rest of your top hair.

        Undercut is a hairstyle that you leave the hair on the top of your head long (in most cases very long) and shave everything beneath it (sides and the back) with clippers. It was a very popular hairstyle back in the 90's, especially in the headbanger circles.
