: Hi, everyone. I have very fine, chest length hair. It gets tangled so easily, especially when swimming. I've tried braids, a single braid, ponytail, and bun, but nothing seems to keep my hair secure and tangle free in the water. The single braid seems to work best, but if I use a soft elastic it comes undone and if I secure it with a strong elastic, the elastic rips out my hair.
: Maybe I'm doing it wrong. Any suggestions? I'll be in Mexico in a month and plan to spend most of the time in the ocean--I'm a water baby, what can I say?
: Any help would be appreciated. At this point, I'm thinking I may need to cut a few inches off. It's just such a pain in the ass to swim and I LOVE swimming.

Hi BG,

can you tie the hair tie stronger around the hair? If that doesn't work, here is what I do. I put my hair in a bun and put on a silicone swimming cap. The main reason I use it is because I swim in chlorinated water but it also prevents tangles.

Hope this helps! Keep it growing and enjoy Mexico :)

Cheers,
Phil
