I use to post here a long time ago. It's great to see that long hair for men is now mainstream in the midwest.
I don't go into town (Rouen) very often (I live and work in a village), but I do see quite a few ponytails and man-buns. Often I see ghastly styles of some of the hair being left long and other parts been close cropped - often going with tattoos. A few leave their hair loose as I do most of the time. No one bothers about a man with long hair here in France or asks us why we don't cut it, except in jest. Nowadays, it is a good symbol of not going along with nationalist / populist politics and remaining as a relic from the 1960's. Younger men would see it differently.
I hope youre right. I mentioned in a previous thread how disappointed I am in the lack of men with waist length hair or longer, so your statement could be the start of something if its true.
To be quite frank, I don't care how other people dress or have their hair. I don't need justification from fashions to wear my hair long, to tie it up or have it loose. Let's just be ourselves even if we are different from just about everybody!

Lately i've noticed more guys letting their grow. And they're of various ages. Now since hair grows on average of 1/2 inch per month it will take a while to grow any length. The more the better.
And of course while the guys are going longer the women are going shorter. Many of them are going for shorter than shoulder length or even buzz cuts. Very few of them have hair as long as me.

I live in suburban Detroit. I'm also 61 y/o. Perhaps I'm a trendsetter. lol. Planning on letting it continue to grow.
I am seeing more long hair here too, on men. I've seen several with waist-length just this year alone! Longer, too, on occasions.
Aw, man! This makes me wish I was out in public more often.
I'm encouraged be the number of men that are in the longhair category, at least here in the east. Definitely more than 10/15 years ago.
