I remember seeing a video on YouTube showing clips of Maury Povich and his daytime reality show. The episodes involved women getting their first haircuts in years, much to their dismay, but you all said he and his show did this to men as well!
I dont think theres any footage of the episode because it first aired years ago, and it would be copywrite infringement to just post it on the Internet. I wanted to see the men before the parts where they cut their hair and cry over it because I ironically hate drama.
But let me be pessimistic to decrease the urge to watch this episode if I ever have the chance: theres no way any of those men had anything longer than waist length hair like the women did, but if Im wrong, please tell me.
By the way, if theres more than one episode with forced haircuts, let me know about that, too. Then, I can continue my rant on how much Maury hates long hair.
I would mention that there have been a number of daytime shows with long haired men who had their long hair chopped off. Maury wasn't the only one, in every case I found the before photo to be better than the result afterwards. It's been a while but I believe there were guys with waist length or longer hair.
I'm not sure it's fair to say the hosts (Maury, etc.) hated long hair on men, it should be noted that on these shows much of the show is driven by the producers, ( The best example would be Jerry Springer, the producers go out of their way to encourage the on stage actions.)
Those shows will do anything with drama to increase viewership, huh? Regardless, I do understand I shouldnt be blaming the hosts when there are other people behind the scenes coming up with episode ideas.
The blame game already ruins more relationships than Monopoly and Mario Party, anyway.
I find these shows a waste of time.
I've had moments when I've wanted shorthair but I chose my path and it's longhair till the day I go bald.
............if they wanted it.
which I get the distinct impression they don't.
I get the distinct impression that on these shows
they're bullied into cutting their hair.
It's like they are opposed to cutting their hair
but between their spouse, the show host, the producers,
and the audience they're bullied into it.
