I'm very sorry to hear that you growing your hair long caused mental health issues as you pointed out.My only conclusion to that would be you must have gotten a lot of negative feedback or possibly shunned by you short haired peers.Frankly in this day and age of more openness it sort of surprises me that that younger long haired men still face such discrimination. As for starting another journey you can do that at any point in your adulthood.Unless you have a family history of hair loss it shouldn't be a problem.But as always its up to the individual how they live their life and how they want to present themselves to the world.In my case I have no regrets becoming a longhair in my early 20s and maintaining it long, without interruption, to my current late 50s.Whatever path you choose this point forward I am behind you in support.Cheers my friend
