I have quite curly hair and am growing it long but it has been difficult to "tame"...I would like to have my hair as straight as possible...it there a good product out there...
i am in the same boat you are and i have used several products in the past.
first, get a good brush. one of those large, paddle type brushes to straighten your hair with. while the hair is still wet, i have used Rusk Str8: anti-frizz/anti curl lotion.
once the hair is dry, mine was always still kinda frizzy. . .so i used either the TiGi product "Hair Wax" or the paul mitchell product "wax works" to tame the frizzies. . .this stuff works really well! i apllied it to my hair, then continued with the blow dryer. . .by heating the hair up with the dryer, and the big paddle brush holding the hair in the straight formation with the brush, allow it to cool with the brush still in it; this gets my hair pretty darn straight. some stylist told me a long time ago that it is the process of heating and cooling the hair while it is held straight by the brush that really makes it go straight and stay that way.
anyway, thats what works for me! hope it helps!

If you can find them, you may wish to try large curlers.
Get a reversed body wave perm. I did and it sure helped a lot
My hair is naturally curly too and I use Redken One 2 One straightening balm when I blow dry and it does a good job of straightening my hair.
