Here's a picture that I snapped with a digital camera at arms length.
My last trim was about a year ago, when I evened up the ends myself with some sharp scissors and a couple of mirrors. I wash every other day with Pantene products, and almost always keep it in a ponytail. I use hair spray to keep the shorter hairs in place after it's tied.
My hair goal for now is to have all my hair be the same length. If I got a "blunt cut" right now, I'm afraid it wouldn't be long enough to tie anymore. Being able to tie it is a big advantage in my book (to keep it neat). It's too long for me to trim it myself, so I'll need to visit a hair stylist. Then there's the possibility of them not understanding what I want and cutting too much off. Maybe I'll wait another month or two before getting that trim!
Any constructive advice welcomed.
Robert
Wait a while on that trim... at least 2 - 3 months, then be sure the stylist understands you want a TRIM vs. a cut. Your hair looks great!
I'd wait for that trim also. Had the same situation once and the worst is to find someone to cut it and have them cut too much off or not do what ya wanted.
What I did another time was when I needed a slight trim was to ask friends, etc., till I found a suggestion on a stylist that would cut it on her own time and listen. I talked with her at length and got her to understand exactly what I wanted and we understood each other.
I'm afraid to death of having someone I don't know cut my hair. It's amazing how many people just want to cut, cut, cut and do what they feel is right or have been taught. Which doesn't coincide with growing long hair on men.
Beautiful hair, dude. Let it keep growing for at least 3-6 more months, then find a stylist who knows how to work with long hair. I interviewed several before I let any of them touch my hair. After 10 years of growth, I have a stylist who is practically my best friend!
You interviewed several stylists? What questions did you ask them? What questions should I ask, what things should I consider when choosing a good stylist?
Right on dude it looks great,
I used pantene for a while not to bad
you may wanna try thermasilk moisturizing shampoo and conditioner
its about same price less tangles, feels silkier, more shine and
works with or without a blow dryer.
keep it goin...
Try to use the non snag hair ties. They look like reg.rubber bands, but they don;t cause hair breakage.Try to find a stylist who has long hair to trim your ends.Stress trim to the stylist!Less than a half inch.I call this a Air Cut,not a hair cut.You are in charge.I suggest Air Cuts every eight to ten weeks.Good Luck!
