Hey, all.
How does this sound. A place on the web for Longhairs in the NW US and SW Canada to meet, socialize, and share each others' company. Organize weekend brunches, outings (to the wild, not the closet), potlucks, and perhaps an international longhair gathering about New Years. With that many Longhairs about, the Space Needle's BOUND to have some serious fireworks!
Anyways, here's the link, and I hope to see you all, throughout the year, and inthe Emerald City at new years.

Good luck Elric! Seems like most gay men are devoted to the kind of short, clean-cut hairstyles that look like they were created at "Salon Wehrmacht." If enough of them could be persuaded to let their hair grow, it would only be a matter of time before being a longhair would simply mean you were "fashion forward." My 30-something gay kid is one of those who resists growing his hair out. When I asked him why, he said he already had too many problems with women making passes at him and that long hair would make him drop completely off the gaydar screen.
. . . JP in san diego.
Well how can you argue with reasoning like that?!?!?! Right there you have the sum and substance of why I don't have a bf.
Who says gay guys are fashion slaves :-) I'm still waiting to see my first dyke with a "go-t". I know it's only a matter of time.
None of the places I worked at as a teen (I'm 29 now) would let anyone have long hair. The first place I ever worked which didn't have anything against long hair was Pizza Hut, but they did say that your hair had to be in a pony tail if it was long enough to wear that way. Which brings me to another point... see thread entitled: "Wearing Caps"
To continue this one, now places like Wal-Mart have relaxed their policy against long hair. As long as it looks nice and it isn't some kind of safety hazard (like getting it caught in the baler or conveyor rollers) they have nothing against it, so my friend says who works there. I think as more employers become tolerant of longer hairstyles, more men might start wearing them. :)
