I want to have long hair, few months ago it measured about one inch or two, i cut it all off because i had many curls. I want to know if i have to cut the sides of my head and leave the top part grow? or do i have to let it grow all together? Do i have to blow dry it ? do i have to use gel or moose for the first months? what do i do if curls start to appear ? please someone answer me as soon as possible !!!!!
What's wrong with curls? There's many who would admire them. If you have curly hair, just let it grow. There's lot's of styles that flatter curly hair. If that's the way your hair wants to grow, don't fight it. Curly hair is gorgeous. Many undergo chemical alteration just to achieve what God gave you. Celebrate it! And good, good luck! You could end up with a head like William Katt in the movie CARRIE. And that would be something!
Long curly hair on a man is gorgeous! Find a good stylist to help you decide what style would look good on you with your hair type, and believe me, keep the curls!
I've been one who wanted hair that I didn't have. I couldn't get it to look quite right when it was really short. I always wanted the really straight and shiny hair densely populating my scalp. I don't have that, however. It's just normal hair. I let it grow out and I finally have hair I'm relatively pleased with. It's pretty straight, but it curls at the ends of the hairs which keeps it from just falling straight down my chest and hanging there like wet spaghetti.
Anyway, hearing that my hair just won't do something is disappointing, but not the end of the world. But for someone to tell me that I should like something about myself the way it is, that one usually made me fume.
No offense intended....I just happen to love long curly hair on a man. Also, since my hair is also curly, I know what a dead-end it is trying to make hair do something it is not meant to do. (yes, I wanted the silky, blindingly shiny, straight locks, too!) Permanents, relaxers, heavy blow-drying..all are damaging to the hair and counter-productive to the growing out process. Better to learn to deal with what you have.
Hope no one has been offended by my opinion.
