I have gotten sick and dead tired of watching movies, sitcoms, etc. where the main characters are bald, near baldy men. What's wrong with Hollywood?. It seems like there is a dichotomy here. With its vast propaganda machine Hollywood is flooding us with the "forever youth mentality". BUt when it comes to men's hair, it seems that suddenly it is so "cool" to be bald. I mean it just does not make any sense because hair has always associated with youthfulness. Just look at that bald, overweight detective from L.A. Law (his last name is Polish type or something)
"LA Law??" Didn't that show go off the air about 7 - 10 years ago? I don't watch much TV, but only bald guys I can think of on TV right now are the guy on NBC's "Just Shoot Me," (but David Spade has moderately long hair and he's on that show, too) and ABC's "It's Like You Know" and "The Practice" (and the guy on "The Practice" could hardly be mistaken for being Polish - he's black!)
Long hair on guys is simply currently out of fashion. Like platform shoes and bell-bottom jeans, it will eventually come back around and EVERYONE on TV will wear it. In the meantime, try watching "That 70's Show" on Fox. :-)
