i have been growing my hair fro 4 months now and seem like it isnt growing but its getting to that point that its down to the ears. and i dont know if im combing my hair right or wrong. i comb it down first and then part it in the middle and comb the hair down is that the correct way or should i comb it up unstead of down
It's probably still growing; it just doesn't grow while you're watching it. Ignore it for several months and you'll notice that it's grown!
I think it depends on how your hair grows and what look you're after. My hair grows forward on top, and looks smoother and shinier if I comb it forward as much as possible. However, that also makes it lie very flat and look thin.
So... I comb it back to make it look fuller and keep it off my face, though that makes it look a bit frizzier (and it may be slightly more likely to tangle). Generally I'll comb the sides, then the back, starting low and working up, then comb the top back and down.
Also, you don't notice the growth as much when it gets longer. There is a big difference between 2 and 3 inches, but you may not notice the difference between 6 and 7. Just wait a few months, and one day you will notice, "hey, my hair has gotten really long!" It happened to me.

I don't know if there IS a correct way to comb.
Because I want a "full" look on top, this is the way I do it.
Comb sides down and back down.
Comb front down (in front of my face so I can't see thru it.)
Putting the brush between by nose and all that hair,
I flip it up and over my head toward the back.
Tack it down with a little hair spray and I'm done.
