I think this hair looks great. I'm straight and married, but I'd love to wear my hair like this. But I think most people consider it to be too feminine.

I feel very sad for you as if your wife was to let you freely express your desires and everytime you looked in the mirror you saw yourself with your splendid mane flowing over your shoulders it would enhance your self esteem and sexlife no end. Put it to her in that way and try it.
Evan if she was not keen on your new appearance the fact that you felt better in yourself enjoying your reflection and your enhanced self esteem and confidence surely would please her.
