Should I cut my bangs above my eyes???
No way! Looks cool! Instead of cutting, (ouch - that word hurts just to type it), maybe you could just grow the rest out to match!
May you mail me?
No, don't cut them, your hair is way cool as it is. I have always wanted long bangs, but don't have the proper hair type like you do (mine is too poofy and frizzy). How do you normally comb/style your hair? Do you have a picture showing how you normall wear your hair.
Thanks,
Al
I don't think you should cut your bangs. I think
it looks really cool! I think you should grow your hair
out, but i think that a undercut would be your style! :)
Realy long on top and like you have now, short on the sides
and the back. Look at the link and the top pictures are
what i am thinking about. :)

it shouldn't matter what we think. it's YOUR hair-- do what YOU want to do. funny thing about freedom of self-exression- once you bow to someone else's wishes, you're no longer expressing yourself, but rather someone else's opinion of what you should look like. if you want to cut your bangs then cut them; conversely, if you want to grow them to the floor then do it.
LBOF,
I think your hair looks fantastic. Of course you wouldn't want to wear it that way all the time. But so much flexibility! If you feel you must cut, don't take off more than a small amount. If you cut a lot off, especially above your eyes, you will lose perhaps 16 months worth of investment. What if you hate it! If you've enjoyed having your hair this long, you probably will hate it and find it boring. How much can you do with 2 inch bangs? Much more interesting to play with the longer length. As opposed to the undercut look, I think fuller sides and a wedge back would accentuate this look. (Note I'm advocating longer layers, not necessarily covering the ears or longer at the nape). Perhaps consider having the longest top layer of the back to be equal to the length of your hair when combed straight back, so there is a nice blend. Then your great long bangs will look balanced when you comb your hair back. Feel free to e-mail me on this; I'd love to chat with you. Now for my personal opinion (if not clear already): Don't cut it, but consider growing some of your hair fuller.
I like exchange with you about long bangs (comments, stories, pictures).
Do not..I agree with Gabriel and Jp. Obviously this is a special turn-on and it is very exciting. Grow the rest of your hair out a bit and you will look great and still have those massive bangs to hang in front of your face when you want.
After all of the comments I have ready on the board. I have decide NOT TO CUT MY BANGS AT ALL.. I may probably will let them grow for another year.. They should be down to my chest by then.. The longest I have gone without cutting/trimming them was 18 months. They were down to the bottom of my neck and the hair was short on the sides and in the back.. My hairsylist knows not to cut or trim them at all. They are put up out of the way every time I get my haircut and are NOT CUT OR TRIMMED AT ALL NOT EVEN 1/8 OF AN INCH..
LBOF:
How do you style your hair and do you like to put your hair in your mouth when its loose? I would imagine you style it like mine as I have chin length hair, also. I comb it back and to the side. You're right..don't cut it!
Mike,
Yes I do put them in my mouth. My hair is parted on the right side and combed backed.. Is your hair cut like mine short on the sides(above the ears) and short in the back??
LBOF, e mail me. Lets write. Our styles are similar but I have more fullness on the sides and back, possibly. Click on my name and you shoulg get me email address.

My Email address is mike5442@excite.com
I think your bangs are great....It is amazing how silimar our haircuts are...I also have long bangs....When I went to the barber, I would tell him "don't cut the front"...My bangs are to my chin now...and many, many times they have been longer....When I was working in the corporate world, I would gel my hair back. The back and sides were neat, not shaved...I remember getting ready for work one morning and combing my hair forward(before gelling it). I was amazed, the bangs were down below my chin and could touch the top of my chest...That was somehting....However, I feel at a certain point, you need to trim them so the hair will become stronger....Just the ends....Then let it grow longer....Let it grow, let it grow, let it grow....Keep us posted about the length.....
So are your bangs still long like mine? Is your haircut still like mine?
Hi! Right now my bangs are just pass my mouth....Since I'm getting older sometimes I feel that my bangs should be shorter....I don't go to the barbers any more.I've been cutting my hair for the last four years...If my mop becomes to unruly, then I'll trim everything including the bangs but for the most part I keep them at a length between my moustache and my chin....
From what I can see of your face, you look young so I think you should let them grow.....Let your "Indiana Jones" haircut be for as long as you like it....Good Luck ...Longtop.....
How about we keep in touch....email me if you like....
Lots of good, honest folks on this board. And I'm sure that
most of them would tell you that you have to be careful
who you give your e-mail address to and who you send pictures
to. But you already know that.
