Hi, I'm new to the site and enjoy the discussions & suggestions. My question: aren't there other guys out there who enjoy wearing "Alice" headbands? I find this the easiest style of all, esp. when I don't want to put my hair up in a ponytail. I wear leather bands, usually dark blue or black. This seems to still be a gender frontier, which seems ridiculous to me. Any responses from men/women on guys wearing headbands?
Quite simply put, they look and feel weird on me. Hence, I'm uncomfortable wearing them. When I want my hair tied back, I either wear my black velvet scrunchy, or my black satin ribbon.
I also waer headbands now and again, just for a change - but there is a gender barrier there all right !
As for your headaches with the ponytail, maybe it's a bit too tight. This isn't good for your headaches, but may also not be good for the hair fibre or the hair roots. My stylist in teh UK said that he destroyed his own hair through too tight ponytails since it weakende the roots and started to fall out...!
