  I am growing my hair out and haven't had a hair cut and my side burns (from the hair above where I shave and around there) are long. If I pull some strands from my side burns it comes out almost an inch.

    That's cool Chris. I like when the burns get long and bushy so you can brush them back over the ears. Is that what your after
