I have long bangs pass my chin and parted down the middle!
I haven't looked at the board for a while. Last Tuesday morning 25 of the 50 people in my company (yup, including me) were laid off. Boom! No severance to speak of. My first task was to cut my hair off to corporate geek length, since I couldn't chance that being a reason for someone not to hire me pretty soon (two kids--can't take a chance). I'm hoping now to find another place that doesn't mind long hair and try again. Until then, best to all of you. I've enjoyed reading and posting on this board! Take care.

it sounds like you made the best decision considering your circumstances... too bad power has been given to employers to force people to choose between individuality and income. best of luck to you in the future... perhaps you can land a job with a tolerant company so you can regrow.
