Hey I got a big problem!!! My hair is thick and just gets fluffy when I take a shower or comb it. I want to grow long hair but should I??? Somebody help me!!!!! I get turned down left and right!!!! God!!!... is there no mercy in this world????? Please reply!!
When considering hair, length equals weight. Hair grows out from one's scalp to a certain length and then starts to bend. That bend point differs from individual to individual depending upon type (coarse, fine, etc.). Cut hair before the bend and it will stick straight up/out. The more length that grows beyond the bend the heavier that hair shaft gets; it brings the bend point closer to the scalp. What I am trying to say, John, is that growing your hair longer will, in time, do away with some of the fluffiness (maybe all of it) and your hair will become more manageable. Grow it long, if you want! And good luck!
Try using a styling product to control the mass of hair. Gels control lotions might help tame the fluffiness. Just be sparing in application at first so you don't get the greasy look. Also, is your hair curly? Curly hair should be combed gently when wet, and then just leave it alone. The more you touch it, comb it,play with it, the frizzier it gets (my hair is curly-wavy).
