Although my hair is not particularly long yet, (it covers my ears for the first time in 16 years) I really want to experience a shampoo & set at a (predominantly at least) ladies' salon. I'm 38, straight, have naturally very curly hair. How do I go about this without getting any hassle. I would prefer my hair to not look feminine.
Thanks
I know at least a half dozen guys with curls or big waves who regularly set their hair in order to enhance their natural hair texture and overall physical appearance. These are good looking guys to start with. Believe me, it is not at all feminine. See my earlier post about a couple of guys at my club: http://the-light.com/archive/mens/messages/9839.html.
Have you considered maybe adding a moustache, goatee, or beard, if you want a more masculine look? One guy I know also sets his beard so both his beard and hair are pretty dense curled ringlets.
Do you mean something like this?
YEP! That's the basic look. Great drawing. Got any pics?
For starters, I have pictures of Mick Foley, who looked like he played the savage cave-man who escaped from jail in the last episode of "Now And Again":
WARNING: Mick Foley used to be Love Dude, who had longer hair and a goatee. I guess that he retired from wrestling, so he isn't bothering to shave his sideburns.
Thanks for the views. I like his beard grown out. The length of his hair is good. But as for the texture and style, I thought Ian meant curls rather than loose waves in the hair. Any other pics?
I think Ian was probably describing these kinda curls :http://shell3.ba.best.com/~bigerbtr/beards/everyday/5/beard099.html
Pretty good, huh?
Yes, I'd say so. But I think that I did see that picture on another web-site such as http://www.hippy----.com/lhmwebring.html
Can't reach with your URL
It goes to a porn site. I can't reveal on this board.
So this is a cropped shot of the dude?
Exactly! beard099.jpg is cropped from hd15.jpg
The Cave-Man-Kind was born 35 years ago!
At the parlor I asked the female stylist not to cut the hair but make a trim and make my hair slightly wavy. She suggested a perm and showed me some photos of various woman styles, I selected one that did not look too curly and feminine, I thought. However after the perm I both thought that it looked good and too feminine. I did not know if to ask her to cut all the hair off or not. I kept the style that she had created (rather curly with a parting on the left side and the much wider than before).
Most of my friends thought it looked great and I have since then regulary permed and styled my hair (always in ladies salons).
I have kept the hair in various lengths and styles through the years, even tried colouring, but always had the hair taken care of in ladies salon.
I too want to wxperiance a shampoo and set i am 44 strait and have curly hair
