So Victor, when are you going to get a new Samson of the month? :)
Barbara, maybe the Samsons out there are worried in case there
are Delilahs lurking around!

This is intriguing. Your ASCII pic actually looks more coherent in quotes than it does without quotes. I guess there's no need for me to ask what it was you were attempting to "draw" now. :)
(Unless of course it winds up looking just as jumbled in the posted version of this message than it looks right now (in the edit window).
The explanation is that text, by default, in most web browsers is rendered in a proportally-spaced typeface and also that browsers squeeze out whitespace.
Had he placed his ASCII picture insite
tags, it would have looked just fine.

Paul,
Thanks for the info; however I don't want to mess up the board
anymore with experiments. Suffice it to say, the ASCII picture looked
fine as I typed it in, but all the leading spaces disappeared when
I clicked on 'Submit Follow Up', but then it was too late. In other
words, this is not a WYSIWYG posting system.
However, all may not be lost! If you go to my original post, and
look down at the 'Comments' box, then you see it the way I intended, at least I do on my computer. The same is true of your message, also!

I haven't had an update for a while. I've been surprisingly busy lately. I was on vacation in Vancouver, BC as well as Vancouver Island, and I thought virtually not at all about this site then. Now I have lots of catching up to do in many areas. Before the next Samson, I will update the gallery and create an archive area. I have a few (very small few) possibilities for the next Samson. However, nothing's firmed up yet. The most likely candidate at this point will be "Sam, the Flower Man", the person for whom Lisa Tingle's song was written. He is a regular landmark of 6th street and NEVER cuts his hair. Not his beard, not his moustache, not his scalp hair. Problem is, I only see him at night, and my first test roll showed it was darker at his corner (he sells flowers) than I thought. I now know the appropriate exposure(s) and have some new film. So things are proceeding slowly but steadily.
Meanwhile, I have a couple other contacts who are promising to send me pictures. I guess I could feature myself at some point, but that seems a bit exhibitionistic.
