  Last night, our local news program showed what the ending of the "Jesus" miniseries would look like to those in Italy, and it showed a modern-day Jesus walking along the Venice canal as if he just came from the Barber of Seville! They are assuming that Jesus would have short hair in these modern times.

  "Honest, moral, mainstream working stiffs" are boring, so maybe they're a bit tough to find on TV in general, but there are some shows that portray us in a positive light. Shows that show longhairs positively tend to be in three categories:

  Another place, another time. Hercules and Xena stuff, and Dr. Quinn.Guys on the fringe. Renegade and Highlander.Teenagers/youth. Seventh Heaven.
