Maybe you all know Dale Smith. Anyway I came across his pictures today, and I confess i have never seen hair like that on a man! Take a look: http://utenti.tripod.it/berenice/very.htm
Sorry if this is old stuff to you
I wonder if that is just extensions. It seems almost impossible, if not very rare for hair to get that long on a man. Although that guy in India in the Guiness Book of World Records has hair about 26 feet long.
I don't know if Dale Smith's hair is real or not, but I would give almost anything to have a braid like that. And for those of you who don't believe a guy can grow his hair that long, turn off your computers and take a walk out the door. There are alot of guys with really long hair. I was recently on a flight with a guy (probably early-mid thirties) with sandy-blond hair in a thick braid that hung down to his crotch. And look at Jack Patterson of the rock group MACHINE (alright, you'll have to turn your computers on for this one). He has beautiful blond hair to his knees. There are alot of guys with long hair - some with really long hair. And if you look around, you'll see some. And hopefully, someday, one of them will be me.
Just a folow-up. I neglected to mention another sighting of a guy with really long hair. It was on an episode of the Antiques Roadshow on PBS. And coincidently, that particular episode was repeated yesterday (Sunday afternoon). It was an episode where the appraiser was telling some woman that her Shirley Temple doll was a recently made copy of little value. In the background was a guy with very full hair (tied back in a loose ponytail) that hung down several inches below his knees. I'm not kidding. Check out yesterday's TV listing as to where that particular episode was filmed - and watch for it to be repeated. I'll try to notify you when I see it listed again.

Michael--it would be good for YOU to look in YOUR schedule to help
us figure out which show it was. I checked out pbs.org and apparently
the show first airs on Monday, so you saw YOUR station's repeat of
a show. However, the show you saw on 5/20 would have logically been
first shown on 5/15, BUT the online schedule says "pre-empted" for
that date!? So, maybe you can figure out which (city/hour) that
show was, for all of us? Note that reruns begin after 5/29. Note, too that tapes are available of each show, so we really need to
identify which show that was (Michael--call your station if it is
not in your program guide--they know all this stuff).
Sorry, you're absolutely right. The show would be shown on different days at different times throughout the country. I hadn't thought of that. The episode I was referring to was a repeat of a program that was originally shown last season. I did check my program guide, but it didn't give any information about the show. I will try to call the station and find out what I can. Will let you know what I find out.
I have heard that Dale Smith's hair is NOT real. That very long braid in the outdoor shot is very convincing. Undone, it would go to below his knees. However, those shots of him in jeans are obviously fake.
This is DEFINITELY Jack from Machine and I've met him in real life.
If I remember right, that is the same picture that Victor did a detailed analysis of a while back and reached the conclusion that it is a computer generated fake.
Very convincing analysing. Interesting case. Thanks
By the way, i don't trust anything anymore now. I see some strange spots in the hair above the braid on the pics of the person in shorts...
Forget the computer, use a little common sense.
What are the odds that "Dale Smith" would strike the same pose in front of the same backdrop at the same stool with the same shirt and pants four years after the original picture was taken?
Look closely at the bulge of shirt fabric immediately below his left elbow in the top and middle pictures. What are the odds that such a bulge would occur in the same place in two pictures taken four years apart?
I can vouch for the pictures of the guy in shorts with the blue checkered shirt. They were taken by Paul J. Lucas in 1998 during a day trip to Santa Cruz. I was on IRC when Paul came on-line one Sunday night and sent copies of those two pix and others to anyone who asked. The subject is an anonymous shopper at a street fair in Santa Cruz and has jet black hair, unlike "Dale Smith" who has a distinct reddish cast to his hair.
Now do you want me to tell you who shot JFK? :-)
I believe Victor did a photo analysis of this photo many months ago
and demonstrated convincingly that it was tocued up.
Well, Dale & I have been best (online) friends for almost a year and
unless he's been lying to me the whole time, his hair really is that
long. He & his girlfriend were having a contest to see who's hair
would get to their knees first. As a matter of fact, his long hair
really turned his boss' wife on to him. (You didn't hear that.)
Alright, I owe you people a BIG APOLOGY!! Before I even saw the
analysis, I was curious enough to truly compare the two pictures
and found more similarities than I could count. I TRULY LOVE him & Samantha so this hurts like hell: Somehow, that bastard's been lying to me! I had no reason not to believe him and since he lives in South Africa and I live in Georgia, I'd never know the difference. All our conversations related to hair and he seemed to know so much about it. I just pray that not everything he's told me is a lie. I feel like I just lost my best friend. Damn him!!
touched up that is!!
