i understand your opinion that most 'longhair discrimination' is perpetuated by women, but must disagree. have worked in a number of environments- some managed by men, some by women. the only flak i've gotten for my hair has been from the men- that has generally gone away after i've had the job a month or 2.
Definitely not my experience last weekend - got undivided attention from a young lady with her butt length mane in the tasting room while stocking up at a local winery - she really went out of her way! I was impressed!
I can count on the fingers of one hand the women who have expressed disapproval of my hair (and all of them, I should point out, were unattractive- possibly coincidence). In my experience, it's mostly men, and generally older ones at that, that dislike long hair. And the men who grew up in the 60s and 70s (who, fortunately for me, are the ones now largely in management) don't seem to see it as an issue in many cases.
It's funny you should say that it's mostly women forcing males
back to short hair. After all, it was women and girls who
l-o-o-o-oved long hair on guys a while back. It could well be we
are dealing with *trend FOLLOWERS*, whether to short or long hair.
"La donna e mobile" may in fact, be true. But if you really
consider it, it was the guys who first decided to return to short
hair. The gals saw the trend, and, it appears, insisted on
enforcing it.
The solution:
Keep the long hair ... all long-haired guys behave like
gentlemen, so as not to give cause fort thoughts of sleeze and
scum among the long-haired ...and restyle the long hair from time
to time. If folks pressure one to cut the hair short, firmly, but
politely, stand your ground. Just say **NO**!!

..mostly the women who are forcing men and boys back to the stone ages (short hair)while they enjoy the one way road of equality (for themselves of course). I'm glad to see some women though that back men and boys with long hair, especially those of this hyperboard. Thank you ladies, for your support.
