i have thick, wavy hair. the bangs (when pulled straight) go down past my chin. the back goes down past my shoulders (its still growing in). i want my hair to be straighter! it will be longer and look neater. i try to blowdry it straight, but i'm not sure what the best method is(it looks good for about an hour, if i dont move that is!). what to do? PLEASE HELP!!!!! any help whatsoever will be greatly appreciated!! thank you
I also have thick wavy hair though not as long as yours. Anyway I blow dry mine straight using Redken One2One straightening balm and it works pretty good to help keep it straight. There are also other products out there that you may enquire about. Unfortunately there isn't a permanent solution for us curly/wavy people that want it straight. We just have to do the best that we can using products from the stores and salons.
thanks for your reply. can you describe how to blowdry it straight? i grab sections of hair and pull them out sideways and dry them. the ends (where i grab onto) dont get straight really
Well I do sections too with a medium sized bristled round brush. Since mine is shorter than yours you should probably use a larger round brush. I wind hair as tight as I can on the brush and dry the roots first. Then, I slowly pull the brush away from my head giving ample time for the hair to dry as I pull it. When I get to the ends I leave like 1/2 inch to an inch of hair around the brush and let it dry then do the next section. Hope this helps.
THANKS! I appreciate it
